Heh, I guess I like vertical photos and shooting counterpoint. Almost 80% of my photos are vertical...

Yeah. The spots are defects. I know. I was kind of depressed when I discovered them on the camera display. They are resultant of a dusty, scratched GND filter. Mhm ... I scratched it . I guess now I have to buy a new (better) one .

So, take your lesson. If you have filters, and you are going outdoor, always take off the filters, clean them and put them back in your backpack!
