In the beginning of January we went on "short" trecking trip to Rhodope mountain but suddenly we were covered by a heavy snow. The snow cover varied from 100cm to 200cm. One of the days we have been walking for 10 hours to get from one point to another and finaly we got stuck for two days in one mountain hut with no electricity. But whatever the conditions were, we spent a great time up in the white "desert"
This is a shot from the 10h walk to our shelter. At the end I was so wet and engry but after a sip of red wine close to the warm fire I felt complete happieness.
yeah, sure! But walking for 10h in thick cover of snow (nearly 1m) can be a biiiit frustrating. And because it's winter the day is a way too short to feel comfortable in the dark when the temperature is at least -10C deg below zero and you have no idea where the hell is the place you have to go
